Ask ten WinGo players which bet they prefer and you’ll get ten confident answers. The maths is simpler than the opinions.
What each bet covers
| Bet | Winning numbers |
|---|---|
| Big | 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 |
| Small | 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 |
| Green | 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 (5 also violet) |
| Red | 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 (0 also violet) |
| Violet | 0, 5 |
The one real difference
Big/Small and Green/Red all cover five numbers. But when the draw is 0 or 5, a red or green bet pays a reduced amount because that number is shared with violet. Big/Small has no such split — every winning number pays the same.
What about violet?
Violet covers only two numbers, so it pays more and wins less — roughly two rounds in ten. It makes sessions swing harder in both directions.
Which suits a calm session?
| If you want | Choose |
|---|---|
| Steady, predictable payouts | Big / Small |
| Same odds, colour feel | Green / Red |
| Bigger swings | Violet |
| Biggest swings | Single numbers |
Whatever you choose
- Keep the stake fixed.
- Don’t switch bets to ‘chase’ a streak.
- Stop at your limit — see the weekly limits plan.
A sample calm session

| Board | WinGo 3 min |
| Bet | Big or Small |

Fifteen rounds at a fixed stake gives you a feel for the game without the pace taking over.
